Mariah Majakey
Teen L.E.A.D. Assistant & Administrative Assistant
Mariah serves as a Teen L.E.A.D. Program assistant and Administrative Assistant at the Kingsley Association. Mariah graduated with a BFA degree in Painting from West Virginia University in 2020 and has been involved with event planning for exhibitions and other arts-related events in Morgantown, West Virginia. Before graduating, Mariah spent the majority of her undergraduate years at WVU specializing in art education. Her focus within the program was on establishing a robust creative foundation for learners and delving into the developmental aspects of children at different learning stages.
Before relocating to Pittsburgh in 2023, Mariah served as Program Assistant at the Byrdcliffe Artist Residency in Woodstock, New York. Mariah collaborated with interdisciplinary artists and the Program Director to plan arts events, enabling her to correspond effectively with a diverse range of arts professionals and board members. Mariah is particularly passionate about implementing therapeutically-aligned public arts programs, and she looks forward to applying her skills and genuine enthusiasm for curating youth programs to actively contribute to The Kingsley Association's mission.
