A native Pittsburgher and virtual lifelong resident of the Homewood neighborhood, Dorothy graduated with a B.S. in Vocational Education from the University of Pittsburgh, and later earned a Certificate in Cooperative Education and a M.S. in Vocational Education from the University. She has served as a Field Resource Instructor and Faculty Evaluator in the performance-based vocational education program at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and in a similar capacity at the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, her professional career includes several instructional positions with the Pittsburgh Board of Education. She holds memberships in the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, the Civic Leadership Academy, Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and a Lifelong member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. She has been a Board Member of the Kingsley Association for approximately 10 years.
