Bob Lawson

Bob Lawson is the founder and owner of 6 Degrees Consulting, Inc., a licensed, certified minority owned construction services subcontractor which opened its first office in May of 2006 and is headquartered in Pittsburgh’s developing East End. At present, 6 Degrees Consulting, Inc., provides a range of services to the area’s largest general contractors and owners, including such services as material supplier, construction services for commercial and heavy highway, and a full range of consulting and professional services including construction managements, owner representation, cost estimating, project scheduling, and MBE selection services. Mr. Lawson has over 25 years of management and entrepreneurial experience in sales and marketing, business development and project management. Since the founding of 6 Degrees Consulting, Inc., in 2006, the senior members of the team have personally managed commercial and institutional projects with an aggregate value of over one billion dollars. Project experience includes universities, hospitals, corporate, healthcare, religious, government, and civic facilities both locally and out-of-state. Prior to establishing 6 Degrees Consulting, Inc., Mr. Lawson was a Senior Account Executive for KDKA radio. He was responsible for developing and managing new business accounts for the #1 revenue generating radio station in the Pittsburgh market. Mr. Lawson also served at Matrix Solutions, Pittsburgh PA, as a Regional Sales Manager, where he prospected broadcast industry clients for a company specializing in radio and television advertising sales and sales strategies. He grew the company’s client base from 50 to 500 stations in first four years with clients including Clear Channel Radio, Infinity ABC Radio, Cox Radio, Susquehanna, Citadel, Hearst/Argyle, Gannett, NBC, Clear Channel TV, Raycom, Liberty. Mr. Lawson generated new business revenue in excess of 2.5m. Prior to his work with Matrix Solutions, Mr. Lawson developed and managed one of KDKA TV’s highest billing account lists, and prior to that, was an Operations Coordinator for Pepsi Cola where he implemented and managed a labor plan for the largest Pepsi Cola business unit in the country.
